Food Quality Assurance Manager Details:

Direct Hire position$75,000.00 to $85,000.00 /annuallySalariedFood Safety and Quality (FS&Q) leader for the manufacturing sites, ensuring the facility complies with state and local regulatory requirements as they relate to food safety.Maintain current knowledge of trends and changes affecting food safety to make recommendations for appropriate program changes to ensure regulatory compliance.Collaborates with site and corporate FS&Q team to maintain the Food Safety & Quality Plan. Alerts corporate FSQ to changes in plant, equipment, or process that have a potential impact on HACCPJ Preventive Controls, SQF, and/or Organic Programs.Conduct internal reviews and other verification and validation activities to ensure plan effectiveness.SQF practitioner/SQF Quality practitioner. Point of contact for audits. With corporate FS&Q team, oversees the implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF system.Educates and supports the site team in systems and processes which fulfill SQF requirements.Ensures compliance with product-related certifications including Organic and Kosher and participates in annual recertification auditsChampions the education and training of personnel on FSQ practices and standards.Tracks and analyzes food safety and quality metrics and leads initiatives for continuous improvement of FSQ systems and processes.Manages document control to ensure accuracy of all FSQ policies and procedures.Ensures compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.Site point of contact for material qualifications testing including incoming inspection of materials and reporting of results to responsible corporate personnel and suppliers.

Food Quality Assurance Manager Qualifications:

B.A. or B.S. in Food Science/relative discipline (technical degree preferred) or equivalent training and experience.Minimum of 3-5 years FS&Q experience with food or beverage or consumer products, or food company and plant experience; either technical or production.Certifications for HACCP, PCQI, HARPC, and SQF Practitioner Training in conducting FSQ auditsDemonstrated ability to employ quality tools to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner gather and analyze information skillfully to formulate action plans and follow through to completion.Demonstrated Project Management experience as Project Leader and cross-functional team participant.
