Position Summary:

This position is responsible for setting up stations, performing side work and assisting with other opening and closing procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

Sets up stations, performs side work and other opening and closing procedures as directed by supervisor, which could include helping other employees in their assigned tasksTenders all checks to cash, credit, comp, room charge or coupon for guests, when applicableActively interacts with guest, sells, up-sells, orders food and beverage itemsDelivers the highest level of service to all guests according to Bar Americain service standards

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Keeps assigned section at optimal conditions regarding cleanliness, sanitation and organizationMaintains all equipment including glassware, plate ware, flatware and beverage products

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Food Runner setting up various work stationsRelevant experience in a fine dinning a la carte restaurantMust have experience in a fast paced, upscale, high volume environmentMust be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers in English

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages

Training Requirements:

Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and proceduresFood and restaurant concept knowledge

             

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of timeFast paced kitchen environmentMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
