The Food Safety Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating the documentation and audits required to ensure the company complies with regulatory and customer requirements.
The Food Safety Manager is the primary contact for regulatory agencies and customers and maintains records of all provided correspondence and information relating to compliance. This person will also oversee the processing and maintenance departments to ensure that all rules and regulations are followed to keep the company in compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations.
Work Experience
Coordinates third-party audit schedules for facilities and ensures that company representatives are available and prepared to conduct the audits.Coordinates and prepares the company audit response and corrective action plans within the required time frame.Develops and manages food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures. Also, ensures that the required training is completed and documented.Corresponds with Local, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies on matters relating to potential investigations and industry alerts.Oversees product and process testing programs with contract laboratories and maintains records of all results.Acts as primary user and contact person for customer-managed websites and the posting of food safety information in a timely manner.Acts as primary contact for customer request and inquiries relating to food safety and quality issues.Maintains a supporting role on the Crisis Management Team.Coordinates the Food Safety Team and Food Security Team and maintains documented records from all meetings.Report any discrepancies.
