Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Compliance Manager for our Milling division based in Cambridge, ON.P&H MillingP&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.

Some of our benefits include:Learning and Development Programs Dental, Vision, and Extended Health CareTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffRRSP MatchingWellness Program Company EventsYour RoleReporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, the FSQA Manager will drive initiatives through direct support with Corporate and Manufacturing Sites, by providing subject matter expertise, guidance and tools to promote continuous improvement efforts across all departments as well as with customers and suppliers.Day to DayLead and manage FSQA-driven continuous improvement projects across all departments, ensuring ongoing compliance and efficiencyDevelop, implement, and maintain national quality management systems to meet GFSI (BRCGS) standards and regulatory requirementsReview and manage food safety programs, including pest control, foreign material prevention, and traceability, while providing corrective actions as neededDevelop, standardize, and maintain QA procedures, testing methods, lab equipment calibration, and documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COA)Provide oversight and support to plant-level QA teams to ensure standardized food safety practices and compliance across sitesAnalyze quality data, track trends, and report results to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actionsOversee internal and external audits, ensuring effective CAPA plans are in place and successfully executedAct as the primary point of contact for food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality concerns with CFIA, FDA, and other stakeholdersManage company-wide FSQA training programs, ensuring staff are well-informed and compliant with regulationsLead efforts for compliance with product labeling, promotional materials, and packaging requirements across domestic and international marketsSupport cross-functional teams in ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycleMaintain and update regulatory files, prepare documentation for submissions and renewals, and review labels for compliance with applicable standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field5+ years of experience in FSQA within food manufacturingThis position includes both fieldwork and office-based tasksTravel required, approximately 2-3 times per year, per mill for inspectionsCertifications in PCQI, HACCP, and Internal Auditor are an assetStrong knowledge of BRCGS standards and food safety regulationsProject management and Six Sigma certifications are a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systemsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsWork and grow with a family-owned company.
