Purpose of the Role
EverGrain is an ingredient venture whose purpose is to make products healthier, taste better, and more sustainable. The business was launched by Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2019 and features new technology that repurposes brewer’s grain – barley – to produce plant protein ingredients.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and provide guidance to quality assurance technicians.Train and mentor staff on food safety and quality assurance procedures.Lead, schedule and coordinate quality assurance activities and staff.Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, FSMA).Develop, implement, and maintain food safety plans, including HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs.Conduct regular food safety audits and inspections of the facility and production processes.Implement & monitor quality assurance programs to ensure product quality meets standards.Conduct product testing and analysis to identify and resolve quality issues.Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities and findings.Identify areas for improvement in food safety and quality assurance processes.Collaborate with production and other departments to implement corrective actions.Lead initiatives to enhance food safety and quality systems.Prepare and maintain detailed reports on food safety and quality assurance activities.Responsible for execution of complete, accurate, & in compliance documentation that meets regulatory requirements.Communicate findings and recommendations to managementStay up to date with changes in food safety regulations and industry best practices.Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.Implement changes to policies and procedures based on regulatory updates.Address customer complaints and concerns related to food safety and quality.Provide support to sales and customer service teams regarding quality assurance matters.Key Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree required, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.Willingness to work rotating shifts required (days, afternoons, midnights, and weekends).Strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example.At least 3 to 5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry required.In-depth knowledge of both manufacturing and packaging processes, including plant sanitation (CIP/COP) practices. Working knowledge of current GMPs, HACCP, pest control and allergen control. Expertise in GFSI standards (BRC, FSSC22000, SQF, etc.) a plus. In-depth knowledge of food microbiology and microbiological methods used in the food manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of Quality policies and procedures. Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written) required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
