Job Overview:
\n\nThe Food Safety Quality Supervisor is responsible to oversee the continued compliance of our SQF food safety program and to meet safety, regulatory and customer requirements through close collaboration with other departments/areas of the business, ensuring appropriate implementation and maintenance of necessary documents and actions that meet
\nthe company’s commitment to the safe storage and distribution of food products for its diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
\n\nSupervision & Leadership
\n\nLead and supervise the food safety and quality assurance team to ensure compliance with food safety programs.
\n\nConduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
\n\nEnsure employees follow GDPs and Food Safety policies
\n\nImplement corrective action in case of non-conforming product or event.
\n\n\n\n
SQF Practitioner Duties
\n\nMaintain Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification by supervision, implementation and maintenance of the SQF System.
\n\nManage all aspects of quality documentation, sampling, analysis, pest prevention, inspections, training and other compliance requirements for customers, regulators, and the SQF system.
\n\nConduct internal audits to ensure compliance with SQF standards and help lead external audits.
\n\nAssist in the development of training programs for employees on SQF principles and ensure the proper implementation of procedures.
\n\nHandle compliance with regulatory standards, systems, processes and SOP updates.
\n \n\nAssess regulatory pathways for new product platforms and product modifications.
\n\nAssist with maintaining the various Quality Assurance files, including internal audits and supplier assessment documentation.
\n\nInvestigate root cause of non-conformances and establish
\ncorrective/preventive actions.
Prep in conjunction with other departments when necessary for regulatory audits and 3rd party audits.
\n\nCoordinate recall/recoup/market withdrawal activities when needed.
\n\nConduct management reviews of the quality system.
\n\n\n\n
Qualifications:
\n\nAccredited HACCP and PCQI training certification
\n\nSQF Practitioner experience in maintaining SQF Food Safety Code for Warehousing and Distribution operation
\n\nExcellent communication and leadership skills.
\n\nStrong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
\n\nPreferred Experience:
\n\nExperience with third-party audits and regulatory inspections.
\n\nKnowledge of FDA, CDPH, and other food safety regulations.
