We are currently looking for a Food Safety Supervisor located in Plover, WI.

 

The Food Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily functions of lab personnel in the Quality Department. To monitor finished product Quality Graders, Quality Systems Auditor, Quality System Graders, Micro-Technicians, and Line Leads on all job functions and responsibilities.

Responsible for managing laboratory analytical, micro & pathogen testing programs.   Responsible for managing and continuous development of laboratory technicians (scheduling, assigning work, and providing training).   Develop written safety procedures that address hazards associated with laboratory-specific operations Be able to lead the overall calibration process (Lab and factory) by evaluating the required testing to maintain / improve calibrations. Ensure calibrations are accurate by analyzing results.  Audit/Compliance Management 

Conducts periodic traceability exercises and plant contact for regional recall & withdrawal exercises  Liaison between R&D and factory level trials Ensures raw ingredients and finished goods are tested within microbial specifications and releases raw materials to production and finished goods for shipment Interprets results and notifies QA Supervisors and Manager of Food Safety Microbiology of findings. Ensured adherence to the EMP program as designed by the Sr. FS supervisor 

Qualifications:

Strong technical skills in area of focus (microbiology and/or chemistry) with ability to interpret general technical and scientific results and perform analytical tests. Basic understanding of the manufacturing environment and production operations. Strong project management skills. McCain offers full benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance.
