Our client is searching for a Food Safety Team Leader for their food and beverages division
Key performance areas
Technical
Technical queries including product labelling food regulations food product testing
Maintain and update Food management system FSMS for F&B
Compile a training schedule and ensure all members of staff are trained on the details of FSMS
Ensure all documentation is up to date and up to auditing standards
Check and verify all records are completed wholly and correctly by staff
Management of testing schedule in terms of microbiological testing other food safety food fraud and quality testing of the products and facility thereof
Internal Auditing
Ensures staff carries out duties and procedures detailed in the FSMS
Ensure Good Manufacturing Processes GMP and Food Safety System Certification FSSC principles are carries out on the floor whilst also enforcing them
Monitor hygiene housekeeping and general factory procedures against documented procedures
Assist with factory trials in terms of documentation and procedures being followed
Issue nonconformances when necessary
Ensure corrective action has taken place as applicable along with any training
Manage and conduct monthly full internal audits
Manage and conduct quarterly management reviews namely quarterly meetings with management as per FSSC requirements
Assist with the conduction of external food safety audits
Ensure that deadlines are met in terms of audit feedbacks and customer visits
Human Resources
Give monthly feedback to management on progress and any challenges faced
Day to day concerns must be raised to direct report within 24 hours of the incident
Implement monthly findings and corrective actions into the facility where needed
General
Manage the Food Safety implementation
Training of Technical assistant as well as management on a daily basis
Communicate progress vertically and horizontally to all relevant personnel and ensure that follow up action is taken as required
Liaise with suppliers on the control and verification of raw materials including packaging
Liaise with customers and consumers on the status of the final product
Carry out effective corrective action on customer complaints
Provide a forum for resolving conflict between personnel and management on product/processing related matters
Ensure effective implementation and management of Company allergen policy
Custodian
FSSC 22000 V5 certification/ verification
Requirements
3 to 5 years food safety experience
Food Safety Quality FSSC 22000 Qualification/ Certification
Diploma/ Degree
Salary Market related
