Job title – Food Science Intern - Processed Meat Application 

Location – West, Singapore

Purpose: The purpose of this intern is to support processed meat lab work ingredients management, and lab/pilot plant equipment maintenance. 

Roles and Responsibilities:  

Ingredients management for lab preparation and testing of meat protein related food product such as burgers nuggets ham, sausages, marinated chicken etc.  

Formulation design, prototype preparation and ingredients application. 

Safely operate lab and pilot plant equipment and responsible for equipment in good condition and well maintenance. 

Set up database to maintain record of all evaluation of ingredients and prototypes formulation. Evaluations via sensory and/or instrument analysis 

At the end of the internship, the intern will 

Understand ingredients functionality and usage in processed meat application. 

Develop understanding on sequence of ingredients mixing. 

Operate lab and pilot plant equipment safely and independently. 

Prepare and evaluate meat protein product.  

Develop interpersonal and communication skill by working in cross function team such as supply chain, other business unit application lab, analytical, sensory, and/or other countries application technical team etc. 

Requirements: 

Studied science subjects primarily related to food science and chemistry 

Ability to weigh and mix ingredients accurately 

Possess open-minded personality and willingness to learn 

Hold passion in foods  

Hands on and well organized 

Comfortable with handling knife, sharp utensils and kitchen work 

Working Hours: 

Monday to Thursday: 8am to 5pm  

Friday: 8am to 3.30pm
