Job Description: + The role will require a minimum of 3 days of work a week (with 2-3 days being in the Parsippany office); ideally 4–5-day work week. + The Food Scientist will be providing leadership to the research & development team for new product launches. + Develop and implement multiple new product launches from concept to commercialization. + Support new product development. Work with plant personnel on all manufacturing scale-up/trial run projects. Provide hands-on guidance during the manufacturing of new products. + Formulate products in alignment/adherence with brand standards – i.e. non-GMO project, gluten free, vegan, clean label. + Plan and prepare product cuttings in lab/office for the cross functional team. Skills & Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree is the minimum education requirement (Food Science is preferred). + Must have 5-7 years of experience within the food research & development space. + Previous experience within new product development and new product launch is required. + Need to have strong knowledge of HACCP, FDA food regulations and food safety regulations.
