In this position, you will be an important member of the nutrition services team. This team plays a crucial role in improving the overall patient and retail experience for those in our care by offering excellent customer service. In this position, you will also play a key role in helping to improve patient outcomes by listening carefully to each patient and customer’s dietary needs, and handling meal requests in a timely way. Responsibilities

Set up and serve food/supplies to the cafeteria customers while utilizing accurate portion control, adhering to recipes, and maintaining proper food handling Interact directly with patients at the bedside to obtain menu selections Assemble patient food trays according to computerized assembly ticketsMaintain appropriate par level of food and supplies for customers as well as daily unit/refrigerator floor stockPerform daily sanitation procedures utilizing appropriate tools and products including ware washing and processingAssist with setup, decorating, meal delivery and pickup for special functions (events, holidays, or theme functions) within the hospital Respond to patient/customer satisfaction concerns and make appropriate decisions regarding suitable resolutions within the scope of the jobOccasionally clean and pick up all eating areas (tables, chairs, counters surrounding the cafeteria and kitchen)
