A minimum of 18 years old. 2. High school graduate or equivalent with experience or training in food preparation for large groups. 3. Work cooperatively with teaching staff and communicate with and be sensitive to children and their needs. 4. Must meet Iowa Department of Human Services health requirements for child care center. 5. Must be free of any convictions by any law of any state involving lascivious acts with a child, child neglect, or child abuse, and have on file a signed statement to that effect. Providing meals and snacks for children in the child care center. 1. Providing meals and snacks for children in the child care center. 2. Safe preparation of all food (breakfast, lunch, and snacks). 3. Preparing food using methods that maintain food value and freshness. 4. Keeping kitchen area clean and maintained according to regulations. 5. Storing food appropriately before, during and after preparation. 6. Purchase of food for center, maintaining appropriate food and non-food items for use in kitchen area. 7. Checking food deliveries against orders. 8. Attending all staff meetings when possible. 9. Cleaning appliances and storage areas according to designated schedule. 10. Laundry and helping with spring and fall cleaning. 11. Assisting the director with meal planning, purchasing and maintaining inventory of staples on hand. 12. Ensuring that minimum requirements are met for the Child Care Food Program. 13. Attendance, punctuality, and dependability is evidenced. 14. Follows personnel policies of Child Development Center and NICC. 15. Maintains food production records for each meal and snack prepared. 16. Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
