The Food Service Manager, Community Correction **s** is responsible for directing and coordinating all functions and activities of the Food Service Department including monitoring operational costs and maintaining effective administrative relations and professional standards of performance.
+ Supervise food service staff and residents in the performance of their duties and evaluate as prescribed by facility and corporate policy.
+ Supervise the preparation of meals in accordance with standard menus and recipe cards approved by a registered dietitian.
+ Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
+ Direct the serving of meals in accordance with feeding schedule and in compliance with standards to include portion control, temperature and proper serving procedures.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
+ Three years experience in food service and prior supervisory experience required.
+ Additional education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
+ Must meet all state and local government food handling requirements.
+ A valid driver's license is required.
+ Must demonstrate a knowledge of all aspects of food service operation including cost control, food quality, safety and sanitation.
+ Minimum Age Requirement:Must be at least 21 years of age.
