Responsible for maintaining all aspects of kitchen sanitation, in compliance with hospital, local and state regulations. Cleans and organizes work areas, equipment's, utensils, and service station. Performs food preparation duties, prepares fruits and vegetables, and serves customers swiftly and efficiently. Maintains knowledge of products, and provides customers with correct information where necessary.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Works in the dish room: scraps trays, loads the dish machine, sorts and cleans silverware, cleans and sanitizes small cooking utensils and equipment's in accordance with all regulatory and department standards.
2. Prepares silverware, cleans and sanitizes patient and non-patient trays and components.
3. Maintains proper pre and post service sanitation for assigned work station.
4. Provides customers with information regarding food ingredients, availability, and pricing.
5. Serves customers in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner.
6. Complies with relevant safety, hygiene, and service standards and procedures.
7. Maintains a friendly, efficient, and professional attitude towards all patients, visitors, team members and leadership.
8. Escalates customer concerns and complaints to management.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
