Examples of qualifying experience: employment in a hospital, nursing home, or school cafeteria; residential dining hall; restaurant; or diner. Experience must have included responsibility for food preparation, food service, and ordering of food and non-food supplies.Formal culinary arts or food service training which resulted in a certificate or degree may be credited towards experience. Duties Description As a Food Service Worker 2, depending on the size and type of setting, your responsibilities may include food production, the service of food, sanitation and hygiene, ordering of food and supplies in accordance with established purchasing guidelines and supervision of Food Service Workers 1. Depending on the agency or facility, you may also supervise inmates, consumers, residents, or clients. Additionally you may be required to submit written reports and documents regarding such duties. In some facilities computer literacy and using spreadsheets and reading charts may be required.
