Job Overview:
The Food Service Worker is responsible to prepare and deliver quality food for patients, visitors and staff, following HACCP standards.

Cooking experience Successfully completes the Mandatory Education as assignedEssential Functions:
Demonstrate knowledge of how to operate safely and how to maintain/clean the following equipment: reach in refrigerator, juice machine, assembly line, work stations, blender, and coffee machineDemonstrate knowledge of proper portions and serving utensils for all tray line itemsDemonstrate knowledge of proper temperature ranges, how to maintain proper temperatures for all items and procedures for items outside acceptable rangesLocate and stock assembly line with needed items from production areas/walk-in cold storageStore food before and after the mealPrepare garnishes for assembly linePortion desserts, soups, and cereals for assembly linePre-prep desserts for following dayKnow first in first out storage proceduresAble to read patient name and room location and correctly identify patient for tray delivery by use of hospital wristband identificationDeliver and pick up trays from patient's roomsMust complete annual safety Physical & Food in-serviceChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!
