Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Full-time, Rotating Shift, Food Service Worker.

This is a full-time position with rotating shift hours located in Norfolk, VA. Work 8-hour rotating shifts and every other weekend.

Job Requirements

Certified Food Service Handler's Card Required (as required by local Health Department).Active Learning, Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Monitoring, Reading Comprehension, Service Orientation, Speaking, Time Management, Writing RequiredHigh School Grad or Equivalent/ Experience in Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.

Position Overview

Responsible for basic food preparation and service and ensuring that all portions are accurate. Provides all necessary equipment and supplies; maintains sanitation of all service areas and equipment. Follows departmental operating procedures for recipes, menus, quality, and all regulatory guidelines.

Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care.
