Position Summary: The Food Service Worker position is responsible for a variety of activities involved in the preparation, processing, presentation, and delivery of food for the organization.
This is a Full Time position with rotating shifts and working every other weekend. As a food service worker you will be trained to work in each station within the cafeteria, kitchen and dish room.
Qualifications: Ability to read, write and follow instructions. Basic math skills are required. Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and stoop, sort and pick up repetitively dishes and silverware. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. on an intermittent basis. Able to work in a fast paced environment. One year of related experience and/or training in a hospital or commercial kitchen preferred.

Performs a variety of food service support functions:
Delivers meals, supplies, and equipment to other departments of the hospitalPrepares the dish room for washing service warePrepares noon and evening beverage productionAssembles all items needed to run breakfast and lunch traylineServes patient breakfast and lunch mealsCleans tray line work station after meals servedRetrieves patient meal carts, disassembles, washes dishes, and restocksPrepares patient nourishment cartsAssists #3 position by cutting and packaging dessertsCompletes shift end cleaning assignments, checks out with supervisorPhysical Demands/Working Conditions:
