Summary:
Provide food service to patients, guests or customers. Assist patients with menu selection according to preferences and diet restrictions. Provide daily interaction with patients to ensure a high-quality patient experience. May provide coverage in the absence of the Food Service Coordinator. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe food production environment. May prepare food or drink items, assemble and deliver patient trays or catering events and perform daily cleaning of dishes and work areas. Receive and store food and supply deliveries using FIFO principles and assists with inventory management. Act as a liaison between, patients, guests, physicians, other hospital personnel and Food and Nutrition Services. Provide training of new team members. Perform other duties as assigned.
