Food Technologist
Hybrid working - 1 day onsite
What you’ll do:
The EMEA Food Technologist will be responsible for executing product development initiatives and projects pertaining to innovation, renovation, and value leadership for the EMEA Health and Wellness brands (KIND and trüfrü). You will work closely with external manufacturers and internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
What will be your key responsibilities?Develop formulations of new products in partnership with co-mans, and scale them up via pilot plant or production trials.Lead or support plant trials, collect and document data, and interpret data/results with the technical team to drive project forward.Develop post-trial action plans and risk assessments with internal and external teamsEnsure compliance with internal and external policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements.Help co-manufacturers troubleshoot issues that arise during production, such as quality deviations or ingredient supply shortages, and ensure actions are documented and product is approved for release.Support the broader cross-functional team on idea generation and pipeline building for productivity and innovation.Collaborate cross-functionally on new project briefs for manufacturers.Approve R&D specific aspects of supplier documentation and ensure that co-mans have the correct and most up to date ingredient information for nutritional inputs.Manage the product approval process throughout the stage gates, ensuring appropriate controls and documentation are in place (sensory sign off, final formula documented and securely stored)Conduct shelf-life testing per EMEA R&D procedures, and provide the business with a data-driven recommendation for shelf life.Review and approve artwork files for product labelling.What are we looking for?Key experiences, capabilities, and behaviours:
