Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily activities for assigned projects, ensuring clear communication between US and Asian teams to meet milestones.Maintain material and structural specifications to uphold Skechers' quality, durability, and performance standards.Participate in forward engineering activities to meet commercialization and production timelines.Collaborate with design teams to translate approved designs into 2D and 3D information packages.Facilitate clear documentation and communication among team members to align project objectives and assist in transferring design solutions from concept to final product.Additional Duties:
Assist in approving final specifications, developing lasts and molds, and confirming production samples.Support fit approval processes and document development and production procedures.Update specifications and processes as needed.Initiate development requests and archive documents.Travel to manufacturing locations, development centers, and vendors (typically 2 trips annually) for training and development purposes.Requirements:
2+ years of footwear development experience.Strong understanding of athletic footwear manufacturing and development processes.Ability to manage projects from concept to confirmation.Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and CAD software.Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities.Self-motivated with a sense of ownership and responsibility.Knowledge of Asian manufacturing (preferred).Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experienceThe pay range for this position is $25-$30/hr.
