Job Description

Position Overview

The role provides end-to-end US Demand and Revenue forecasts for US Specialty, primarily Team One, with an emphasis on Lupron and Liletta.

The forecaster will produce analytics and presentations for AbbVie leadership. The forecaster will partner closely with Finance, Price Forecasting, Market Analytics and Business Insight (MABI), and Brand leadership teams.

The Forecasting Lead’s focus is primarily:

explaining the brand’s evolution/outlook to executive leadership.facilitating optimal decision making.providing precise financial guidance to stakeholders.

This role reports to the Senior Forecasting Manager, Team One.

Core Responsibilities

Use large data sets, historical perspectives, and business partners’ insights to develop forecasts.Align with business partners and finance leaders on forecast assumptions.Partner with Price Forecasting to ensure alignment on GTN (Gross to Net) assumptions.Load forecasts into required financial systems (BPC, TM1, ADS, etc.) to support consolidation.Integrate Actuals data into forecast models including validating and ensuring data integrityComplete key financial close schedules used by multiple stakeholders.Highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for consideration as part of developing forecasts.Lead/participate in ad hoc analysesPartner cross-functionally to drive tasks to consensus/closure while working independently and adjusting priorities as needed.Embrace continuous improvement via learning and development, along with proposing, developing, and implementing process improvements
Qualifications

Required:

6+ years progressive accounting, finance and/or forecasting + analytics experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance or AccountingProficiency in Excel & PowerPoint.Knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus.Strong communication skills (verbal and written).Strong business partnering skills.

Preferred:

Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industryExperience with US healthcare industry-standard data sets
