Foreign Exchange Advisor

Location: On site in Memphis, TN

Summary

The Foreign Exchange Advisor is responsible for providing primary oversight for daily trading, cover and settlements. The Advisor will interact with internal and external clients and cover a variety of duties, including pricing trades, validating back office settlements, monitoring Nostro account balances, assisting with FX Loan management and reconciliation issues. The Advisor will also be responsible for periodic revenue and regulatory reporting.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversight for daily trading and cover trades, including verification of others’ work Monitor activity in the bank’s foreign currency nostro accounts (position management) Communicate with clients and assist with any special handling or indicative pricing Work with internal partners to investigate any reconciliation outages Manage periodic revenue and regulatory reporting Work with Product & System support team for FX system testing and validation

 

Qualifications

Two to four years of banking experience with at least two years exposure to Foreign Exchange Analytical skills Experience reviewing and approving other teammates’ work High level of attention to detail and ability to explain concepts and transactions Initiative, integrity, reliability and ability to meet deadlines Demonstrates a client-focused work ethic Highly effective and cooperative team player Has understanding of accounting principles key to foreign exchange risk management Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal and organizational skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; preferred International Finance concentration The ideal candidate for this role will have completed college level coursework in International Finance and have some experience with Foreign Exchange in a fast-paced work environment that requires detailed communication and interaction with internal and external clients.
