Project Foreman

Position Description: Responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the work of subcontractors, vendors and/or Turner trade employees. The Project Foreman is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed and adherence to budget of the project. The Project Foreman has supervisory responsibility for trade employees on the project.

Reports to: Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Executive, and Trades Manager       

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:         Be a working foreman while leading trade staff to complete jobsite related projects.Oversee and making decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.Oversee work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation. Work closely with Superintendent to resolve local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment schedule and all other appropriate matters.Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Turner standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite securityCompletes and submits time sheets, daily construction reports, and required safety paperwork daily.Participate in interviews and recommend hires for trades staff.Supervise and develop trade employees, as assigned, including providing input on or completing performance appraisals.Address staff needs and resolve problems. Provide staff feedback, reward, and discipline as required.Assist project team with creating schedules and determining sequencing of work. Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule, when requested.Assist in scheduling and expediting the delivery of materials and equipment.Communicate with owner’s representative and architects/engineers in connections with field issues. Investigate and document the resolution of scope issues.Manage the contracted work to ensure that is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skidsteer, excavator, compactors, and construction hoistAdhere to the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Turner standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite securityMaintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.Ability to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as neededDisplay a high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations.
