**Job Title: Foreman** **Job Description** Technicians will support the Fire and Security department and assist with the physical installation of communications systems on all assigned projects. Daily job duties could include: - Follow daily work project plan, including safe work practices and requirements. - Assist in cable pathway construction, cable pulling, device terminations, and system testing. - Communicate changes in the SOW to assigned Project Lead and/or PMO and adapt project plan as needed. - Assist in creating project punch list, performing system testing, and finalizing daily documentation completion when assigned. - Assist with the onsite training and mentoring of less experienced team members. Technicians are required to have high attention to detail, make proper notes in internal systems, and assist tenured employees with basic maintenance or repairs of the systems. TEAM SIZE: 2 - 4 members, including a lead technician and helper mostly, sometimes a larger crew. HOURS: 40 hours per week. Mostly a set 40 hours, but could have potential for overtime. TRAVEL: Majority of work is within the local territory, could extend to Dane County. Seldom travel outside of 30 miles, but if they do, it would be towards Milwaukee. **Hard Skills** + Cable pathway construction + Cable pulling + Device terminations + System testing + Project documentation **Soft Skills** + Attention to detail + Effective communication + Training and mentoring + Adaptability **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Madison, Wisconsin. **Work Environment** All worksites will be in the commercial industry space, with the majority being in new construction. There will also be repeat business, updating or checking on prior installs. The company focuses on corporate buildings, education, municipalities, healthcare, places of worship, manufacturing, and transportation. Most of the time, it is a controlled environment, but at times, the work environment will be hot, dirty, noisy, and confined.
