Now Hiring - Journeyman Electrician

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Schedule: 1st shift / 8-10 hours per day

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $30 - $40 hourly (Competitive salary based on experience/qualifications)

Description: As a Journeyman Electrician in this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks in both residential and commercial settings. You will be working with a team of professionals to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems while ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics to identify problems.Ensure all electrical work is completed following NEC (National Electrical Code) and local codes.Read blueprints and technical diagrams to determine wiring layouts and installation requirements.Conduct inspections of electrical systems and provide recommendations for improvements or repairs.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Mentor and guide apprentices and junior electricians.Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide updates on work progress.

Qualifications:

Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Iowa.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician.In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $38.00
