Description

Position Summary

 

Manage and coordinate the daily asphalt laydown crew on placing spec asphalt on assorted heavy highway paving projects with a safety first style. Communicate closely with the operations manager and asphalt plant personnel. Maintain positive communications with customers, crew, and state inspectors. Responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and securing of company assets. Complete required daily and monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent GED required; college degree, trade school in asphalt/construction management or equivalent field experience preferred2-5 years minimum experience with hands-on heavy highway asphalt pavingExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsProficient with MS Office

Salary Posting:

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $33.49+. Membership with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No, 9 is required upon hire. Condition and terms of employment and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
