**Job Title: Foreman** **Job Description** We are a general contractor specializing in commercial remodel work, including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, military buildings, and state and federal projects. Our team is seeking an experienced commercial carpenter who is versatile and skilled in various aspects of the trade. The successful candidate will be adept with hand tools, basic power tools, and saws. They must be able to read measurements accurately and cut materials to specification. Responsibilities include base and casing rooms, trimming, installing cabinets, hanging doors with hardware, and occasionally assisting with carpet installation on smaller projects. The candidate must maintain a professional demeanor at all times. **Responsibilities** + Perform base and casing work in rooms. + Trim and install cabinets. + Hang doors with hardware. + Assist with carpet installation on smaller projects. + Work independently without supervision from day one. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of commercial carpentry experience. + Proficient in base/case work, metal stud layout, framing, and other basic carpentry skills. + Ability to work independently with no supervision from day one. + Valid Driver's License. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Professionalism in appearance and conduct. + Adaptability and willingness to perform various tasks as needed. + Ability to work well within a small team. **Work Environment** This is a fully on-site position in Grimes, Iowa. We are a family-owned company with a close-knit team of 7-9 field workers and 4-5 individuals in project management. Our teams typically consist of 3-5 members handling 2-4 projects simultaneously. Our standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 or 4:30 PM, with rare weekend work. Dress code includes nice jeans or khakis, a tucked-in company polo, and steel-toed boots, with the company providing the polo and PPE (hard hat, high visibility vest, eye protection). Candidates must consistently present a professional image. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
