Foreman Concrete - Primoris Heavy Civil

Primoris Heavy Civil is actively searching for an experience Concrete Foreman for our Laredo, Tx office. This role involves managing a team of concrete workers, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Concrete Foreman will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other construction personnel to ensure timely project completion while adhering to budget and safety guidelines.

JOB DUTIES 

Ensure the correct use of formwork, reinforcement, and other materials necessary for successful concrete installation. Assist the superintendent in identifying and resolving quality control problems on job sites. Oversee the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete for roadways, bridge decks, retaining walls, culverts, and other infrastructure. Manage the concrete mix and ensure proper batching, placement, and curing. Participate in the pre-project or pre-task construction planning sessions to familiarize him/herself with unique characteristics of the schedule and the job budget. Organize, schedule and request needed personnel and subcontractors for timely project completion in conjunction with superintendent. Establish foreman’s weekly plan; update daily. Determine and recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures where practical on the project. Has authority to dismiss laborers and operators when necessary and in accordance with established company guidelines. Recommend changes in material suppliers and truckers, which must be coordinated the superintendent. Assume responsibility for validating lines, grades, and quality of workmanship. Train laborers and craftsmen in the basic skills required to perform the tasks with minimum supervision. Inspect materials when delivered to ensure they comply with quality standards and specifications. Sign and code delivery tickets. Ensure material is delivered to the construction site per established agreements and in a timely fashion. Meet contract specifications and company quality standards. Maintain and encourage job safety. Review labor reports weekly. Report daily time of crew, equipment, and materials used, as well as quantities of work completed. Report any extra work, back charges to subcontractors, or delays caused by owner, utility company, or others. Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, labor relations, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawings, and other documents. Ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance. Perform other related duties as required of the position or as assigned by supervision. 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation. Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete construction within heavy civil projects (Road, Bridges, Highways) New Hire Orientation Quiz Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace. Job site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.). Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
