The Spurwink Center for Safe and Healthy Families is looking for a per diem Forensic Interviewer\/clinician to join our multidisciplinary program. The Forensic Interviewer\/clinician Position provides forensic interviews of children and adolescents regarding allegations of abuse in a non-leading, developmentally and culturally sensitive manner. The individual will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team (psychologists, social workers, child abuse pediatricians, nurse practitioners) and testify in court as needed. Opportunity to provide treatment for children and adolescents affected by trauma also available. Individual and peer supervision provided. \n
DUTIES:\n
Conduct forensic interviews of children and adolescents alleging abuse. Participate in weekly case discussion of child abuse cases. Respond to subpoenas and testify when requested. Work in collaboration with other community service providers. Write effective legally defensible reports. Provide trauma focused treatment.\n
QUALIFICATIONS:\n
Masters degree in social work or psychology. Must hold a valid license in the State of Maine (LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, LCPC, Cc). Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required. Experience with working with children along with knowledge of the dynamics of child abuse and child development preferred.\n
