Forensic Psychiatrist (Part-Time)
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is currently recruiting a part-time faculty position to join our team in Texas. This candidate must possess a valid Texas medical license and have experience in forensic psychiatry.
Responsibilities:
· Develop an ACGME accredited forensic psychiatry fellowship by May 2025
· Establish relationships with forensic training partners at San Antonio State Hospital, Bexar County Jail, Center for Health Care Services, Juvenile Detention Center, and other local partners. Identify site directors and obtain program letters of agreement.
· Develop forensic psychiatry rotation curriculum.
· Develop forensic psychiatry didactic curriculum.
· Prepare or delegate forensic psychiatry didactics.
· Complete and submit forensic psychiatry accreditation application to ACGME by 11/2024.
· Develop forensic psychiatry education website and other recruitment materials.
· Systematically interview fellowship applicants.
· Participate in forensic psychiatry related scholarly activity such as manuscript preparation, quality improvement initiatives, patient safety initiatives, and/or research.
