This role will be responsible for operating the instruments used to perform the initial analysis on urine specimens for substances of abuse with the SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) mandatory guidelines and those of other regulatory organizations. **Night Shift: Tues - Sat. 3 pm - 11:30 pm** **What You’ll Work On** + Operation and maintenance of the Screening Instrument and initial review of data + Knowledge of screening methods + Troubleshoot issues with screening instruments + Adherence to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information + Adherence to all established guidelines outlined in Employee Handbook **Required Qualifications** + BS degree in science or equivalent related field **Preferred Qualifications** + Advanced ability to understand analytical techniques and procedures. + Advanced ability to understand laboratory instrumentation + Advanced ability to understand certification requirements for SAMSHA, CAP-FUDT, and other relevantregulatory bodies + Basic ability to understand the function of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other laboratorycomputer systems + Basic understanding of drugs that are tested Apply Now (https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en) * Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
