DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, your primary responsibility will be to assist the district’s resource management staff with technical work on state forests, private and other public lands. You will aid in surveying land designated for timber sales, delineating boundaries, establishing haul roads, and identifying vegetation that may impede regrowth, in addition to determining limits for deer fencing. Furthermore, you will provide support to various personnel in assessing damage caused by windstorms, pests, and diseases. Your responsibilities will also encompass the maintenance of State Forest boundaries and participation in forest regeneration initiatives, which involve assessing competing vegetation, planting trees, monitoring planting locations, and gathering seeds. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Seasonal full-time employment without benefits.
