As a Forge Die Maintenance Operator you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDie Polishing and Grinding: Possess thorough knowledge of die polishing and grinding techniques.\r\n\tInspection: Perform liquid penetrant inspection of dies to determine wear, cracks, and other defects. Document die condition and report to Engineering.\r\n\tDefect Identification: Identify defects and die wear; mark dies with job number and function.\r\n\tTool Selection: Select abrasive tools according to operation and specified dimensions.\r\n\tGrinding and Smoothing: Manipulate powered hand grinder to remove bead, grind curved surfaces to specified radii, remove machining marks, and smooth die surfaces. Sand surfaces of cavity and gutters to facilitate metal flow during forging. Use hand tools such as files, stones, and emery cloth to smooth surfaces.\r\n\tDie Cleaning: Operate pressure wash die cleaning tank\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary $19/hr with OT potential

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
