**Job Title: Forklift Driver** **Job Description** Our small distribution center, specializing in building materials like lumber, hardwood flooring, fixtures, door, and cabinet handles, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Driver. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be dependable, and willing to take on various tasks as needed. This role involves picking from slips, loading trucks, and taking inventory, making it suitable for an experienced warehouse worker. **Responsibilities** + Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. + Load and unload products from trailers and containers, ensuring proper handling and storage. + Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and tracking products using warehouse management systems. + Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues to the maintenance team. + Pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. + Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring products are stored in designated areas. + Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily operational goals. + Interact with customers and delivery personnel in a professional and courteous manner. **Essential Skills** + Experience with forklift operation. + Picker/Packer skills. + Material handling expertise. + Inventory management. + Proficiency with RF scanners. + Knowledge of building materials. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High initiative and problem-solving skills. + Reliability and a desire to advance over time. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a small family feel in a supportive work environment. The area is organized by racks and rows, and you will never work overtime on the weekends. Shifts are Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM/6PM, depending on the workload.
