**Material Handler - Dekalb, IL** **2nd Shift $21.30/hr** **Interview Immediately** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for the 2nd shift Fabrication Team. You will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to transport steel sheets to various machines for production. This role involves taking raw sheets from the storage area to CNC machines, then moving machined items to the blaster, and finally transporting sandblasted items to the staging area for the glass line. While most of your day will be spent on the forklift, you will also perform secondary tasks such as labeling, banding, and palletizing. _This position requires training on 1st shift for 2-3 weeks before moving to 2nd shift._ **Responsibilities** + Operate a sit-down forklift to move steel sheets to production machines. + Transport raw sheets from the storage area to CNC machines. + Move machined items to the blaster. + Transport sandblasted items to the staging area for the glass line. + Perform secondary tasks such as labeling, banding, and palletizing. **Work Environment** This role is based in a large manufacturing plant with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with high traffic and heavy machinery. Initial training will be on the 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM) for 30 to 60 days before moving to the 2nd shift (4 PM to 12:30 AM).
