JOB OVERVIEW
The Forklift Operator 1 will utilize lift trucks and other warehouse equipment to pull or put away merchandise. Moves and store materials, supplies and finished goods, etc. to designated departments or an area within the facility either manually, by hand truck or forklift, and maintains accurate inventory levels utilizing inventory control systems; rotates through a variety of roles related to warehouse functions.
This position reports to the Line Lead and is based in our Rantoul, IL location.
As the Forklift Operator 1 you will have an opportunity to:
Operate lift truck and other moving equipment to pull, lift, palletize, transport, and transfer merchandise to and from warehouse slots, pallets, conveyors, and staging areas.Offload & load trailers safely. Utilize SAP and RF systems to make appropriate & accurate BIN stock movements within the warehouse system. Pick or pull product utilizing work order instructions for assigned work zone/area to ensure the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.Deliver picked product as specified on WCS (Warehouse Control System) instructions.Performs daily operations and safety check of equipment; Completes all required paperwork.Maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, organization, and supply levels.Return equipment to correct charging station, and prepares equipment for daily charge at day’s end.Perform general warehouse material handling duties as assigned; cross-trained for multiple positions in the Distribution Center.Maintain excellent safety record.Observes all safety rules and regulations; exercises care and good judgement always to prevent accidents and injuries.Receive forklift certification to the standards set forth by company.You have/will:
One to three (1-3) years of warehouse experience preferredFlexibility with work schedule and task changes. Be prepared to work overtimeAbility to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and work at heights from floor to 30 feet highFrequently lift and shift boxes weighing up to 20-30lbs with a maximum of 65 lbs throughout a full shift of workBend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legsWork effectively in a team environmentRead, comprehend, and carryout all work instructionsAbility to perform simple mathematical calculationsCareful attention to detailProvide back up and peak load assistance for other areas and merchandise handling functions, effectively adjusts to high volume productivityAbilities:
Stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and work at heights from floor to 30 feet high.
Lift and shift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Exercise proper utilization of team lifting for heavier items.
Manual dexterity for operating equipment/machinery.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision.
Demonstrate clear and effective verbal and written communication techniques.

Hours/Compensation/Benefits:
Hours: Monday-Friday (8- hour shift)
Compensation: $17.42/hr.

Pay Range:
Starting Hourly Rate: $17.94The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
