Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of materials, supplies, and products within our facilities while meeting productivity requirements and maintaining KDP’s high standards in safety and quality.

Shift and Schedule:
This is a full time position on 1st shift, Monday - Saturday, with a start time between 5:00am - 7:00am, working 10 - 12 hours daily depending on business needs. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. 


Position Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
2. Learn to safely operate multiple types of powered industrial trucks in environments with pedestrians.
3. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are in place while loading/unloading trucks.
4. Collaborate with production team by interpreting production needs, supplying line with materials and transporting finished product to warehouse or trailers.
5. Rotate floor stock, moving oldest product first.
6. Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.
7. Demonstrate KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless and Fair.

Qualifications:
1. Ability to quickly learn and safely operate powered industrial trucks. 6 months of forklift operation experience preferred.
2. Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve.

Total Rewards Pay starting at $19.95 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $21.00 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
1. Lift, push, and pull a minimum 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally.
2. Ability to bend, stretch and sit or stand during entire shift.
3. Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb into forklift, bend, stoop, and twist.
4. Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
