**Job Title: Forklift Operator**
**Job Description**
This position entails working in either the 'Production Department' or the 'Warehouse Department' to support the movement of raw materials and finished products. The role requires versatility and the ability to assist with various manual tasks beyond operating a forklift.
**Responsibilities**
+ Unload raw materials from semi trucks, including bins of vegetables, barrels, and palletized products such as glass, lids, labels, and film.
+ Load palletized finished products onto semi trucks.
+ Depalletize shipments into smaller orders manually by hand, with the heaviest item being 25 pounds.
+ Bring raw materials from the warehouse to the production lines.
+ Move finished products to the warehouse for staging and prepping to be loaded on trucks.
+ Assist with changeovers, which includes hosing down the line, taking bottles on and off the line, and stacking boxes by hand.
+ Clean and sweep as needed, stepping off the forklift to help maintain a clean work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with sit-down forklifts (gas or electric).
+ Knowledge of loading and unloading procedures.
+ Understanding of loading patterns.
+ Familiarity with the SAP System.
+ Experience with inventory processes.
+ Forklift safety and ability to work in confined spaces.
+ At least 2+ years of experience operating a forklift.
+ Recent forklift operation experience within the last 6 months.
+ A minimum of one year of recent experience on a sit-down forklift.
+ Experience operating a forklift for at least half of the workday (4 hours)
**Work Environment**
The work environment is a fast-paced food production facility with a 1st shift starting at 5 AM. Overtime may be required. Operators will work around other people on the production floor and must navigate confined spaces. Floors may be wet due to vegetable juices, and strong smells from pepporcinis, jalapenos, and olives are common. Adherence to GMP regulations is mandatory, including washing hands before entering the production floor, wearing hair nets, beard nets, and BLUE smocks. No nails, eyelashes, polish, jewelry, or earrings are allowed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, California.
