**Now Hiring: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to support our production operations. This role involves issuing and delivering inventory, transferring items between locations, and utilizing the NLPI inventory management system to account for transactions. The operator will also be responsible for counting and auditing inventory, receiving items from vendors, preparing shipments, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. **Responsibilities** + Issue and deliver inventory to support production operations + Transfer inventory items between locations as needed + Utilize the NLPI inventory management system to properly account for inventory transactions, receipts, and shipments + Count and audit inventory when required + Receive items into NLPI from various vendors and sub-contractors and deliver to appropriate locations + Prepare items for shipping and load products for onward shipment to customers + Assist in coordinating with marketing regarding upcoming shipments and bills of lading + Accurately complete related inventory, receiving, and shipping documents + Follow all related work instructions and quality requirements + Ensure all safety rules are followed + Note any discrepancies or damage of shipments or incoming goods + Operate stand-up and counterbalance fork trucks and company truck + Work around breaks and lunches when necessary + Train new operators when needed + Organize and maintain work areas for efficient use and cleanliness at all times + Perform other related duties as assigned **Essential Skills** + Experience operating both sit-down and stand-up reach trucks + Proficiency in inventory management systems + Strong material handling skills + Ability to follow safety protocols + Good communication skills + Attention to detail **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear + Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds + Specific vision abilities required, including close vision + **Pay:** Starting $17 + **Shift** : 7am-3:15pm + **Location:** Virginia Beach, VA **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
