Forklift Operator
**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** As a Forklift Operator, you will operate as a material handler in the warehouse and distribution center, responsible for transporting pallets of materials and products to and from warehouse storage to meet production and inbound/outbound shipment schedules. **Responsibilities** + Demonstrate behaviors in support of company safety procedures with a focus on zero injuries. + Support quality work processes, including accurate cycle counts and following pick orders/locations. + Actively support the Conagra Performance System (CPS) and experience high performance work systems such as 5S, problem-solving, TPM training, continuous skills development, auditing, and planned/autonomous maintenance. + Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). + Pick up and remove waste from production line floors and containers, and push waste carts to the dumpster. + Operate a sit-down, double-reach, and pallet jack forklift to move product to and from inventory warehouse storage and production lines. + Hitch trucks to warehouse docks. + Stage pallets and product to ensure efficiency and safety of warehouse operations. + Change out forklift batteries as needed. + Consolidate bays in inventory as needed. + Operate shrink wrapper and install new rolls of shrink wrap film as needed. + Operate inventory control devices (radio frequency) to view, track, and adjust product inventory. + Perform cycle counts and maintain cleanliness in all work areas and equipment. + Pick full and partial pallets to load and unload trucks and move inventory into/out of the warehouse. + Transport supplies to production as needed and assist other workers as needed. + Learn new procedures, equipment, or operations as needed. + Record the truck set temperatures for every trailer. + Manually document the SKU and number for any loose cases. + Monitor the conveyor system. + Verify code date and case count off inbound trucks and loose cases. + Communicate with the Coordinator or Team Lead if a trailer is in poor condition or if there is no product available in a pick location. + Perform other duties as required by the Team Leader or Coordinator. + Work overtime as required to achieve production and shipping schedules. + Interact effectively and professionally with coworkers. + Perform all skills as outlined on the Skills Element Tree. **Essential Skills** + Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or distribution environment for at least 3 months. + Experience operating sit-down and stand-up double-reach forklifts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School diploma or equivalent. + Experience working in a food processing or packaging environment. + Experience working in a USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environment. + Proficiency in SAP. **Why Work Here?** Join a supportive work environment that prioritizes safety and quality. You will need to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs during your shift. Basic computer skills and the ability to operate monitoring equipment are essential. The ability to respond timely to emergency situations at the facility is required.
