Scope:

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for receiving, storing and distributing material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. 

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Must be proficient in all Forklift Operating SOP's for assigned Warehouse area Utilize industrial power equipment to raise and lower materials to storage locationsDeliver materials from storage/staging locations to the specified department or shipping dockAble to take on multiple tasks while executing daily operations safely and professionallyDemonstrates safety and conducts him/herself in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times; including accurate completion of all pre-shift equipment checksInspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete deliveryManually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehiclesPerform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tankWrap and placard materials accurately and appropriately prior to moving them to a storage areaWeigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labelsOperate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machinesAll other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentAt least 2 years of experience in a Forklift Operator roleMust have ability to understand oral and written instructions in EnglishMust work well in a team environment and have strong communication skillsForklift certification requiredMust have successfully completed the Forklift I Matrices Sign-Off Sheets and approved by an Operations Manager.

Physical Demands: 

Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend Must possess visual acuity to document company records Must be able to wear steel toe shoes/bootsLifting up to 50 pounds
