**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to join our fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The role involves sitting on a forklift to unload and load boxes, with the forklift performing all the heavy lifting. Candidates must be attentive to their surroundings as there will be numerous forklifts operating simultaneously. **Responsibilities** + Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload boxes. + Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safety amidst multiple forklifts. + Adhere to all safety protocols including wearing steel-toe boots. + Participate in an orientation session and pass a forklift test. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating a sit-down forklift. + Ability to work in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. + Attention to detail and safety awareness. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with inventory management and material handling. + Familiarity with RF scanners, pallet jacks, and general production tasks. **Why Work Here?** Join a company with a strong culture and supportive work environment. The work environment is a bustling automotive manufacturing facility where safety is a priority. Candidates will undergo orientation and forklift testing at our center in Madison. Successful candidates will tour the facility, meet supervisors, and begin working on the forklift by Wednesday. Steel-toe boots are mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Alabama. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.90 - $20.90 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
