Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and documenting shipment times, tagging and labeling merchandise, preparing orders for shipment, and managing impaired or damaged items.
ResponsibilitiesTrack and document exact shipment arrival and departure times.Tag and label merchandise.Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type.Prepare all orders for shipment.Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items.Operate a sit-down forklift.Handle inbound and outbound shipments.Conduct inventory and cycle counting.Assist with loading large machinery onto trailers.Pick small parts, pack, and handle materials.Control inventory and manage loading and shipping.Essential SkillsExperience in operating a sit-down forklift.Hands-on experience with inventory and logistics software programs.Good organizational and time-management skills.Great interpersonal and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inventory and logistics software programs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility where machines that make bread on a manufacturing scale are produced. The facility is heated in winter but not air-conditioned. Employees must be able to stand on concrete floors for a minimum of eight hours and perform tasks requiring kneeling, squatting, bending over, and standing for long periods. The environment can occasionally be loud, especially in areas where grinding or machine testing takes place. Earplugs are provided for protection.

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
