Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with experience in Crown Stand Up Reach and Stand Up Forklift operations. The role involves working in a freezer environment within a food manufacturing warehouse, handling materials, shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading trucks, and managing inventory and cycle counting. YOU WILL BE WORKING IN A FREEZER ENVIRONMENT - YOU MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING IN THIS ENVIRONMENT.
ResponsibilitiesOperate Crown Stand Up Reach and Stand Up Forklifts.Handle materials in a freezer environment.Load and unload trucks.Manage shipping and receiving processes.Perform inventory management and cycle counting.Use RF scanners for inventory tracking.Work in a very fast-paced environment and keep up with production demands.Continuously move around and ensure efficient handling of products.Essential SkillsExperience with stand up forklift operations.Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.Ability to operate pallet jacks and RF scanners.Proficiency in material handling and picking.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Inventory management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a freezer environment.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The facility is large with over 400 employees working across two shifts. The operation includes multiple loading docks and involves processes such as sizing, chopping, splitting, cutting, frying, and instantly freezing chicken for customers. Forklift drivers will spend most of the day in the freezer but will receive a 10-minute break every hour away from the freezer. Available shifts include 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM with possible overtime, and 2nd shift from 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM with flexible start times.
