**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** As a Forklift Operator, you will be working on your feet for the entire 8+ hour shifts in a warehouse environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be consistent and involve using handheld devices (RF Scan Guns) to enter and code information needed for work orders and part numbers. If you have at least 6 months of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment, you will thrive in this role. **Responsibilities** + Operate RF Scan Guns to enter and code information for work orders and part numbers. + Work consistently on your feet for the entire 8+ hour shifts. + Handle materials, shipping, and receiving tasks. + Sort and match orders accurately. + Perform general labor duties and inventory control. + Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment. + Ability to push/pull/lift at least 40lbs. + Comfortable standing on concrete for extended periods. + Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS). + Basic computer skills. + Must pass a math and matching numbers test with at least 70%. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with shipping, receiving, general labor, and material handling. + Proficiency in using RF scanners. + Experience as a picker/packer and in inventory control. + Experience operating sit-down forklifts and tug operators. + Experience as a yard driver and waterstrider. **Why Work Here?** Join a dedicated team of around 350 people in a massive 400,000 sq. ft. warehouse. The warehouse spans 400,000 sq. ft. and is not climate controlled. Dress code requires jeans and safety/composite toe shoes or boots, which can be purchased at Wal-Mart. Be prepared to work 8-hour shifts, including weekends, nights, and overtime as needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
