Our client, a plumbing supply company, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team in Brooklyn, NY. This is a 6-month long assignment, with possibility of extension. **Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Location: Brooklyn, NY** **Pay Rate: $19- $19.50 hours** **Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7:45AM - 4:30PM** **What’s the Job?** + Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed. + Inform the office when orders are ready to ship. + Pull material for pickup and shipments. + Prepare UPS shipments. + Maintain packing slips from material received from vendors. + Keep track of shipments that are ready to ship to ensure all material is complete with necessary paperwork for the trucker. + Prepare pack slips, bill of ladings, and labels. + The ability to drive and operate a forklift. + Use a scale to check weight for shipment and or cartons shipping via UPS. + Load material on a flat bed or box truck. **What's needed?** + **2+ years of Warehouse Experience operating a Forklift.** + **Possessing a valid and current Driver's License.** + **Possessing a valid and current OSHA FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION.** + Heavy Lifting: must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move over 50 pounds with manual assistance or the use of a power jack or forklift. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. **What’s in it for me?** + Full-time schedule + Weekly pay with direct deposit If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
