In this position, employees will be responsible for the operation of forklifts to transport and stack materials in a safe and productive manner. **_Job Duties and Responsibilities:_** + Safely operate a forklift. + Loading and Unloading Material (flatbed trailers, 53’ vans, and rail cars) from a dock and outdoor yard during all seasons and weather conditions. + Read and understand what product(s) to select, how to load and unload trucks based on pick documents and bills of lading. + Follows the Logistics Standard Operating Procedures, supports and maintains warehouse stock location system and code dates to ensure proper inventory turns and adherence to FIFO principles. + Receives Incoming Finished Goods and Raw Materials and verifies accuracy. + Provides general Customer Service to Customers and Transportation providers + Ability to safely lift, carry, and stack up to 55lb bundles of roofing shingles/rolls. + General housekeeping and all other related tasks as assigned **_Schedule_** + Monday-Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending on production needs + Shift: 3rd shift **_Compensation_** + Salary: $24.87 per hour + Annual year-end bonus + Annual raises based on union contract **_Qualifications & Skills:_** + Minimum High School Education + 2 Years of Warehouse/Supply Chain Experience + 2 Years of Forklift Operating Experience + Good working knowledge of Warehouse/Shipping policies, procedures, operations, and general transportation processes. + Good oral communication skills + Strong Teamwork skills + Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment + Ability to translate data into useful information. + Excellent Attendance Practices Required + Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs, and positive demeanor. + Use Mobile Order Picking System **_Flexibility_** + Able and willing to work in other areas as needed. Must be flexible in taking lunch and breaks when workflow requires. + Willing to work additional hours as necessary.
