**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for receiving and counting stock items, recording data, and ensuring accuracy in inventory management. Your role will include packing and unpacking items, verifying inventory counts, and investigating discrepancies. You will store items in an orderly manner, mark stock items with appropriate identification, and maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse. You will also be tasked with examining and inspecting stock items for defects, operating forklifts, and performing data entry tasks. **Responsibilities** + Receive and count stock items, recording data. + Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse. + Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. + Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse and supply room. + Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. + Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. + Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. + Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. + Control inventory and perform data entry tasks. + Process, package, and ship orders accurately. + Inspect products for defects and damages. + Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately. **Essential Skills** + Experience with computer systems. + Forklift operation experience. + Knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory control. + Material handling skills. + Ability to inspect and examine shipments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (will not be operating lift for the first few months). **Why Work Here?** Our company has a great reputation within the industry, offering good benefits and opportunities for pay progression.
