**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to handle sit-down and stand-up (reach) forklifts, gather materials from inventory, transport products to production lines, and occasionally load and unload trucks. You will be responsible for scanning materials in and out of inventory, spending most of your day on the forklift moving materials across the production floor, and performing shipping and receiving tasks. Comfort with getting off the forklift to stage, palletize, wrap, etc., is required. **Responsibilities** + Operate sit-down and stand-up (reach) forklifts + Gather materials from inventory + Transport products to production lines + Occasionally load and unload trucks + Scan materials in and out of inventory + Spend the majority of the day on the forklift moving materials across the production floor + Perform shipping and receiving tasks + Stage, palletize, wrap, etc., as needed **Essential Skills** + Sit down forklift experience - 2-3 years + Stand up Reach forklift experience - 2-3 years + Proficiency with RF scanners + Material handling - replenishing production lines + Experience loading and unloading trucks **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to gain US security clearance upon conversion + Eligibility for a $200 monthly bonus for perfect attendance ($100 if one day missed) **Why Work Here?** You will have the opportunity to gain US security clearance, which comes with a pay bump. One area is neat and quiet, while another is louder and dirtier due to welding and cutting armor. PPE such as steel toe shoes, jeans or work pants, and a shirt that can get dirty are required. Glasses and gloves are provided as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working in small, confined spaces and moving around the facility, as they will be using the forklift throughout. Working on the inside of larger vehicles like SUVs may require crouching or working in uncomfortable positions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford Park, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
